Palm fruit is a common oilseed crop, widely distributed in Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and has significant economic value. Global palm fruit cultivation area is continuously increasing. Both palm fruit and its kernels can be pressed to produce palm fruit oil and palm kernel oil, respectively. Palm fruit oil is reddish-brown and rich in carotene, vitamin E, and other nutrients, making it a valuable edible oil, natural colorant, and raw material for health products. Therefore, establishing a professional palm fruit production line is of significant practical importance.
A complete palm fruit production line mainly includes four stages: pretreatment, pressing, filtration, and refining. The pretreatment stage mainly involves two pieces of equipment: a fermentation tank and a threshing machine. First, the harvested palm fruit bunches are placed in the fermentation tank and steamed with hot water for 90 to 120 minutes. This step aims to promote fruit separation, which is beneficial for subsequent crushing and pressing, thereby increasing oil yield and production efficiency. It is important to note that the steaming time must be strictly controlled; too short or too long will affect the oil extraction rate. The steamed fruit bunches are then fed into a fruit separator to separate the palm fruit from the branches. The separated fruit enters an oil press for pressing, while the branches can be reused as fuel. A key feature of this fruit separator is the large distance between its internal rotating chamber and external support, providing ample operating space and effectively preventing long branches from causing blockages and affecting equipment operation.
In the pressing stage, the processed palm fruit is fed into a palm fruit oil press. This oil press is designed specifically for the characteristics of palm fruit; its auger is made with special materials and processes, and its "inverted cone" circular hole structure and innovative pressing cage design ensure more stable operation and smoother oil extraction, offering significant advantages over traditional oil presses.
The filtration stage aims to remove impurities generated during pressing, improving the purity of the oil. This process uses a plate and frame filter press characterized by high filter plate strength, good pressure resistance, long service life, and stable continuous operation.
Finally, the refining stage is available, which can be selectively configured according to actual needs. If the local market does not have high requirements for the quality of refined oil products, this step can be omitted; if the goal is to enter the global market, then the refining process is crucial to enhancing product competitiveness.
