  In the hot-pressed rapeseed oil production process, rapeseed is first subjected to high-temperature steaming and frying. This process causes a series of changes in the oil, destroys the oil cells, promotes protein denaturation, reduces the viscosity of the oil, and makes it more suitable for pressing. Compared to the cold-pressed process, the hot-pressed rapeseed oil has a stronger flavor and higher oil yield. However, certain nutrients like vitamin E, sterols, and carotenoids may be lost during the hot-pressing process.

  One main difference compared to cold pressing is that a roaster is required to evenly heat the raw materials in the hot-pressing process. Oil press equipment typically includes a roaster which works well. The final temperature of the roasted material should be 120-132°C. The resulting clinker should be elastic, crumble easily when held, and evenly cooked without clumping. The residual moisture of the clinker after frying is approximately 2.0%. It’s also important to ensure that the material entering the press is at a temperature of 120~125°C.
