How cold-pressed avocados work:
A common device for cold-pressing avocados is a hydraulic press, also known as a hydraulic oil press. These devices usually consist of hydraulic systems and pressing mechanisms capable of applying sufficient pressure to extract grease from the raw material. The process of cold pressing requires strict control of temperature, which is usually carried out at low temperatures. This is because high temperatures may lead to a loss of nutritional value and quality of the oil, so the cold pressing process is usually carried out at room temperature or slightly lower temperatures.
After being pressed, the oil in the avocado is mixed with the water and solid residue in the pulp to form an oil-water mixture. The oil-water mixture usually needs to sit for some time in order to precipitate and separate out the oil. Subsequently, a filtration device or method is used to filter out impurities, moisture and solid residue, making the extracted avocado oil more pure. The resulting avocado oil retains most of its nutrients and natural properties. Due to the use of low temperature and high pressure, cold-pressed avocado oil is generally considered to be a high-quality vegetable oil with high nutritional value and natural health benefits.
