- Crushing: Break whole dried shea kernels into uniform fine particles, destroy cell walls to fully release internal oil glands;
- Moderate Roasting: Control temperature at 70–110°C to remove residual moisture, reduce free fatty acid, eliminate mildew odor and activate oil separation. Without complete crushing & roasting, oil residue in cake will rise sharply, oil clarity drops and finished shea butter fails to meet cosmetic export standards.
